Description: This piece portrays a person flying up to heaven — A dynamic, red figure somewhere between flame, creature, and spirit. The full image is capturing a transitional state, like the figure is caught mid-ascension. This person is leaving behind a ravaged lifestyle as he ascends into the air to approach God and the Holy Spirit for their new calling.
 
Story: Ascension captures a moment of spiritual shift — not just upward movement, but a transformation in motion. The central figure rises through layers of energy, carried by swirling forces that feel like both flame and water, breath and current. My intention is to invite viewers to contemplate the moments where identity, emotion, or self is in flux. Ascension is about a new calling from God. It’s about what it looks and feels like when you’re being reshaped by something unseen, but deeply felt.
